It is a fun, beautiful city in a gorgeous mountain setting!
Ive been to the mountains alot but never Blue Ridge until I had a fare doing Uber from the airport to a cabin at 2am so didn't see too much.I gotta say it was really creepy going up high on a mountain in the middle of the night on a dirt and gravel road barely wider than the car.

Very true. It does lack a civic center-of-gravity. But, even Rome wasn't built in one day, so they say.

But, if we're talking about an area to which people have already moved before there existed a civic CoG, is building one necessary? It almost becomes a chicken/egg question.

I think that is a very fair question. And, in my opinion, I don't think building one is necessary. There are certainly plenty of places with a civic CoG in the near vicinity of Johns Creek. I, for one, don't see the need for it, but I believe local leaders believe that having one will encourage more younger families to the area. I'll be boogying out of here in a few years, so for me it is just fine the way it is.

There was actually a plan to develop a large downtown for Johns Creek, but I don't think it ever took flight...

I noticed they had a bad home invasion the other day but crime can happen anywhere. Apparently the perps have already been caught.
