Default homes in the douglasville area

I am relocating to the atlanta area. I heard that douglasville was a good place to start looking for homes. The range is 350k to 375k. Any suggestions on subdivisions. Also how is the schools in this area. My wife teaches elementary school, we are looking for a great school for her to teach at. Thanks

Villa Rica is about 8-10 miles west of Douglasville and perhaps a little nicer in terms of safety. I live in Mirror Lake and, with the current mortgage crisis, you can basically steal a home now, even in the Overlook and South Harbour neighborhoods. In Douglasville, I'd look at Tributary and Brookmont, although I don't know about the schools. Mirror Lake elementary is okay and wouldn't be a bad place for your wife to teach if she is in elementary education.

Cheers,
PMMD
