Brookstone is a nice neighborhood and you should be able to find something within your budget. As gt6974a mentioned, be sure to check the new district boundaries that take affect starting this fall. For Brookstone, you would want to stay south of Burnt Hickory to make sure you are in Harrison. I don't live in Brookstone myself, but a lot of the families that attend my sons' school reside in that neighborhood and they all seem to enjoy it.
Here is a link to CCSD's page regarding the new boundaries:
Cobb County School District (broken link)
Sorry I can't help with the realtor recommendation. We loved our realtor when we moved here 2 years ago, but he relocated to NC.

I lived in Brookstone for several years, we moved there in the late 80's when it was first built. My father still lives there. Nice n-hood but being I only visit for a couple hours once I week, I couldn't comment any further.

Search the MLS free from my site SouthernStage.com. You can search by city, zip, subdivision, etc. I noticed you looking at one time for Newnan? There are many affordable neighborhoods. Look in 30265,30263,30277. Hope this helps. I do not sell outside of my area but can refer you to an agent if you'd like.
