wow. people truly have skewed perspectives - I blame political rhetoric about the "evil rich"

anyway, according to an interactive NYTimes tools from 2012 (http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2...-map.html?_r=0) the top 1% in atlanta earned above $407k

5% = $202k
10% = $150k
25% = $96k
50% = $55.9k

A more accurate list:

PERSONAL INCOMES
Very Low Salary: Under 85k
Low Salary: $85k-119k
Decent Salary: $120k-399k
Good Salary: $400K-699k
Great Salary: $700k-1.999m
Amazing Salary: 2m and higher

Family income (pretty much 3.25 times that for 2 parents and 1 child, add 125k/year for each child)

If I found out that most people in my neighborhood made less than $120k, it would be time for either flight or gentrification.

Can't believe the OP thought $100k was a "decent" salary. Yeah, only if you consider driving a beat-up old car, living in a crime-infested hellhole, and eating ramen every night decent!

I'm glad that SOMEONE here set the record straight.
