Hi, all -- please advise on good spot to look for comfortable flat, walking-distance to MARTA, with secure parking and good eats, nearby. Prefer traditional, in-town neighborhood. Rent up to ~2000.00/mo.
Many thanks. Last edited by atl_08; 02-19-2008 at 09:29 AM. Reason: update |

Try Candler Park & Inman Park & Decatur for traditional Atlanta Neighborhoods near walking distance to Marta. You should try Craiglist and base your search by walking from the Marta Stations to get a feel for the area. You might even be able to luck into walking into some nice apartment rentals from people who don't advertise.

With your budget you can get just about anything you want in Candler or Inman Park or Decatur. All 3 have MARTA stations. Inman is closest to downtown and Midtown.
You aren't limited to a condo or apartment, either. You could probably easily find a house in those neighborhoods close to MARTA. I know in Candler Park there are about 3 houses with For Rent signs that are within a 10 minute walk of the CP MARTA station. |
