Hi.

I just recently accepted a job offer where the company is located in Northpoint pkwy at Alpharetta, GA.
I don't have any children, I'll commute, and don't really have a preference for lifestyle except that I hate noises.
Easy access to MARTA is a plus but if not, I'll live with it.

So... I've done my research and it seems Roswell is a good fit.
(with better affordability than Alpharetta or Johns Creek - if not, please do correct me)
Closer to Alpharetta the better, and by closer, I'd say less than 20 minutes driving the better.

I'm looking for a 1 bed, 1 bathroom with budget of highest being $1100.
But really... cheaper the better because utility fees.

I don't have lots of preferences but one would be washer and dryer availability.

Thank you all for your help in advance!
-HJ

My first job after grad school was on North Point Parkway in Alpharetta. For the first year, I lived in an apt complex right across the street from the office. It was fantastic.

There are a ton of apartment complexes on North Point. Why don’t you live in one of those, instead of commuting from Roswell? Your commute could be 2 minutes instead of 20 minutes. And with your budget you can afford it.

Of course, the caveat here is that there isn’t much of a singles scene in Alpharetta. And you won’t be anywhere near a Marta train station (though you can access Marta bus route).

Can you?? I mean I would really want to live in Alpharetta but it seemed almost impossible with my budget... It seemed like 1B1B would range 1200 to 1600

Do you happen to have a name of the apartment maybe?

I did! And it was very helpful but the lowest price I've seen was $980-1000 without utility fee.
Do you know the apartment's name you are mentioning here?

Also consider Roswell and North Sandy springs because you will have a reverse commute both ways for work

North Roswell over by Hwy 9 has cheaper (and older) apartments than Alpharetta. And, the restaurants are better over there.

Look at Rosemont Apts, Enclave at Roswell, Manchester at Mansell, Grande Oaks Apts. Used to be in that range, unless it's gone up in last few years.

MARTA does not currently go to Alpharetta or Roswell so it is not an option for work.

I would live closer to work and when you want to take MARTA downtown or to the airport, you can simply drive to the North Springs Station which is easy access off of GA 400
