I need some suggestions about advertising used appliances? They are about 5 years old and barley used for only 3 years. What is the best paper to list these items? I don't want to use ebay.

Are there any laws I should be aware of in different counties (Forsyth) regarding garage sale?

If you have some horror stories please share as I will use those and my guide of things to keep in mind.

craigslist: atlanta classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events
That would be your best bet, imo

The biggest hassle with craigslist is that people often don't show up to buy it or come look at it, which is a pain....

Our tenant had a hot tub at one point but sold it. Leftover was a round 10ft diameter deck it sat on. We finally got around to cleaning up the backyard of our place over the past month. She said she didn't want the deck so I listed it as a free item on craigslist.

I can't tell you how much of a pain it was. Some church lady who sent me an email begging me to let HER have it over people who contacted me first because her church was poor and needed the wood...and I said okay...and she never showed up!

Grrr!

That's craigslist, though...

If you're not crazy about craigslist, I would check with a used appliance store to see what they would offer you. We bought our washer/dryer from a place like that and it worked out well.

I have sold/ have bought "newer" used appliances through used appliance stores before. If the above poster does not pan out, search used appliance stores in your local on-line directory.
