Indeed. It's just another lane on the freeway, and when it opens, it won't be game-changing in any way whatsoever. It'll be a minor news event and some discussion for a little while, then just business as usual.

If they would have made it a LRT line or even just a BRT lane, would have been historical and monumental. And the cost wouldn't have even been that much higher. Just frustrating and stupid.

Go blame the General Assembly and this state's electorate for hamstringing GDOT into how motor fuel tax revenue can be spent.
