Whether any of you were around for the original Marta vote in the 1960's is irrelevant. Anyone living in Cobb now voted with their wallets by moving to/staying in an area that is known to be hostile toward transit. This hostility toward transit is precisely why there hasn't been a vote since the 1960's, and the current leadership/populace/electorate/whatever-you-want-to-call-it shares the blame for that.

The only thing for Cobb citizens to do now, is to follow Fourthwarden's advice and spend the next 4 years organizing to bring transit to the county you all are vested in.

Schools are directly collated to household income. There will be a negative feedback loop with many suburban schools if these demographic trends keep up.

Exactly. You vote every time you pay taxes and continue to live there. You also continue to vote in antitransit politicians. You are complicit in the continued resistance to fix our city.
