Lightbulb Georgia, Atlanta

I want to move to Atlanta, Goergia and want to know what part is family oriented for single moms. I don't want to be to far from the city and not to close. Any ideas

Move to city of Decatur. You will be just a few miles out of Atlanta (really all the same) and still on mass transit lines.

City of Decatur...Good place too.

I'm not aware of any large city that has a designated area for "family oriented single moms" (?)

Perhaps if you list your budget, school and recreational requirements, etc, that would be a better help for people to steer you in the right direction.

Why would you want to move to ATL for an acting career?

I'm with the last poster. Why would you move to ATL for acting? LA or NY seem more realistic options. If you don't have a job DON'T move to GA. Decatur & Sandy Springs would be my options. GA overall is pretty family friendly.

Commute to where? Are you looking to buy or rent? What is your price range?

Without that kind of information, it's hard to make any meaningful comments. The Atlanta metro is a rather large place and is quite diverse in terms of the types of housing available.
