This should be a big one as this is the last meeting between now and vote on the transportation tax in November. The Beltline will be presenting first, then the CoA and MARTA will take the second half of the meeting to provide details about the upcoming transportation tax. If you are interested in any of this, this is probably the most important public meeting in the existence of the Beltline.

Thanks, tiki. I had this on my calendar but unfortunately have had something else come up that I can't get out of.

I hope you or someone else can attend and let us know how it goes.

Good to hear! Did you glean anything new or interesting form the meeting? I left after the transportation part was finished. Only interesting tidbit I caught was that they have a educational website about the tax at MORE MARTA | MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR RAPID EXPANSION AND ENHANCEMENT

I completely disagree with their assessment of their outreach/education campaign about this vote. Has anyone seen any promotional or educational marketing for this tax outside of the sources us transit nerds read? It seems to me they are just preaching to the choir while most voters will have no idea this tax is even on the ballot. Its position at the end of the ballot is a bit disconcerting as well...

Anybody know why when you look at the MARTA expansion maps, they leave off some of the new lines they've been talking about? For example, for selfish reasons, I noticed that in the bus expansion map, they leave off the Grant Park circulator, and in the streetcar map, they really only show the S-configuration. But then at the end when they show the comprehensive map, the full beltline loop, Crescent Line, and circulator routes are added. Are they saying that the MARTA tax will not fund the lines not shown in the sub-map, but the overall plan is for the entire loops, circulator buses, etc.? Everything I've seen has all of this on the map for this tax, but the maps they showed in this presentation confused me a bit since they leave a lot off, but then add them all back in on the comprehensive map. Can anybody that was there explain this?

The live presentation showed the other streetcar lines. maybe the graphic arts didn't translate to the pdf?

If you are talking about slide 3 I think they just plugged in the "S-route" map either as an example or by accident. They show more routes than that later on in the deck. But yeah, I noticed the same thing. Of course I wasn't at the meeting.

Is that actually a MARTA website?
