I want to buy a 10 yr old home in Wellington subdivision. It's near to Findley oaks elementary school.
How safe & reliable are the homes in Wellington? Are there lots of activities around that area?
Also any reviews on the elementary school would be appreciated.
Thank you.

I am looking at a neighborhood in Johns Creek that is assigned to Findley Oaks also. I've heard very good things about Findley Oaks. I think all of the schools that feed into Northview are very good. I think Shakerag and Wilson Creek are scoring a little bit higher but I don't think it makes that much of a difference personally.

I've driven through Wellington on my way to the school to check it out and it looks very nice. As far as the quality of the builder or who built them I have no idea.

Good luck.

Wellington is a Pulte subdivision. It started out as their upper tier homes with one section that was going to be a higher-end product. But that never materialized (it materialized a few years later off of Kimball Bridge Rd- just south of State Bridge). Wellington has a lot of the same models that they are still building today. They are a good solid house without a lot of bells and whistles.
But after 10yrs I'm sure there has been a lot of up-grading by H/O- basement finish, trim, flooring, etc.

People who send their kids to Findley Oaks are very, very happy with it. The families I know with kids there moved from top public school districts in the New England and Chicago areas, and they believe their kids are receiving a top-notch education at F.O.
