I may buy in the Parkview cluster and was curious if these new schools were likely to result in future redistricting for the parkview cluster? Will these schools just carve out existing areas in meadow creek and berkmar? Or, Are they going to be schools like the science and math high where all of Gwinnett is eligible? Any info would be appreciated, as I have been unable to find much. Also, has a second middle school ever been considered for parkview? Trickum's student population seems incredibly high?

Currently there are only two new schools schools somewhat close by. One is suppose to be in the meadowcreek area and one is in the Norcross area.

Both of them will be themed high schools without a district boundary that anyone in the county can attend.

One is suppose to be health sciences and the other is a science/technology themed school I believe. They are trying to replicate the success of GMST.

The trend in the past has been that Parkview's borders are slowly moving west taking off pressure from Meadowcreek. The only reason Meadowcreek's borders are even south of 29 is simply because Lilburn Middle is still south of 29, despite going to Meadowcreek.

The built the new Trickum middle further west just to help create the excuse to shift borders. The biggest amount of student growth is near I-85 with all of the older apartments.

Parkview is unlikely to get a second middle school in the short and medium-term and it is not in any long-range plans. Trickum was an all new middle school built to accomodate the number of kids that would attend Parkvie not long ago. The old Trickum, which was right next door to Parkview, is now a part of Parkview.

Even though it is not planned, I wouldn't be surprised to see a new school cluster develop between Meadowcreek, Norcross, and Berkmar in 10-15 years. Those are the schools most heavily impacted by the student surge.

In short... anything is possible, but as of yet no district shifts are trending away from Parkview.
