Reed or Norwood. God help the City of Atlanta!
Hasn't the general population yet learned?
Reed is part of the same old machine that has basically bankrupted the city.
If not for private investment only to maintain their current network, ie. Coca Cola, Home Depot, etc., this city would be the total mirror of Detroit instead of a second cousin.
The only benefit the City of Atlanta has had under Queen Shirley and the previous convicted felon, is the population influx from the other counties and the migration to the South from the Rust Belt.
The Mayorship of Atlanta is almost becoming a twin to our Presidential cronies.

I'll be tempted to move back into the city limits just to vote for him if he does. Atlanta needs a complete overhaul in leadership. His squeaky voice is sure hard to listen to for long periods of time, but the guy doesn't play favorite race cards and has a very level head and high IQ on his shoulders. If he couldn't turn the city around, then it's too far gone for anyone to do it.

Yeah... did you ever see the movie "Dave" with Kevin Kline? He plays an actor who looks lijke the president, so they get him to stand in for the prez when he falls ill. Before you know it he has an accountant with an adding machine sitting in the White House balancing the budget and trimming all of the excess spending that the gov't typically does.
That would be what Clark would do. that would be just what Atlanta needs. If we couldn't get him to run then I would love to see Rudy move down here and do for Atlanta what he did for NY when he was Mayor there.

I approve that statement but I'd never approve of him becoming president. Rudy can handle Mayor or Governor but President, I think he'd go overboard cleaning up the axis of evil list.
Someone email Rudy and tell him he's needed in Atlanta

Not the CEO!
I guess Atlanta will be the first major city in America to have a CEO instead of a Mayor. His egoness being called Mayor, never I say, never!
Using DeKalb as a shining example is a great reason not to have this guy as Mayor, unless you want to keep Fulton like DeKalb. Bankrupt and plaqued with crime.

It's funny seeing all of the OTP posters on here chime in about Atlanta's leadership. Atlanta is fine. It's booming and it's population has been rapidly growing since 2000. The tax base is also growing and the city itself is more diverse than it has ever been. We just need someone to keep the ball rolling and make sure that the city remains progressive.
It seems to me that the leadership out in the burbs is lacking given the awful traffic, overcrowded schools with classes in trailers, shoddy development, poor zoning, and growing crime rate. We residents of the city of Atlanta are just fine. Thank you.

I only support someone who has a vision of 21st century for Atlanta, who wants to transit Atlanta into a modern world class city. I know Norwood doesn't support infill in the city and she likes sprawl in Atlanta, so she is not on my list. I want someone who supports good public transportation and density in the city and walkable in urban area, low crime, less homeless, very commercialized in downtown and midtown, and etc. The mayor should supports all urban projects to transit Atlanta into a 24/7 city, a city without sleep.

A couple of things to read up on:
ATLANTA: City's budget likely to take big cut | ajc.com
11Alive.com - Is City's Budget Hole Even Bigger?
Atlanta budget deficit could top $80M - Atlanta Business Chronicle:
It was announced on the news that the streetcar project is now stalled (and perhaps completely dead) due to this, and several proposed projects have been stalled as well. NOT good.

How can it be independant if it's an internal auditor?
PriceWaterhouseCooper is down the street. Too bad govt. isn't subject to the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
