Hi Guys,

I moved to Georgia a few years ago and bought my first home last year in May in Cumming. The home was newly constructed last year and the driveway/side walk has chips/pitting/scaling in scattered areas. It seems like the problem is getting worse specially after it rains, I find new spots where this problem is occurring.

I am not happy with the builder and the overall craftsmanship of the home. I am covered by 1 year warranty but my experience with the builder has been that every time I call the builder, they come and patch up things but their patch up ends up looking worse then the initial problem. It has only been 10 months and some older homes driveway's looks to be in much better condition than mine.

I have not approached my builder regarding this issue due to the reason i mentioned above. I know that they will come and seal the problematic areas but then months later the same issue will be in a different area. I am really frustrated and not knowing whats my best course of action here, please let me know what is the best possible way to pursue this.

New Home Construction Defects in Georgia: Your Rights Against the Builder | Nolo.com

If you are aware of the issue, you need to fix it yourself ASAP or have the builder fix it. If you are not satisfied, you can try an attorney. Hurry, before your warranty expires.
