Hello:
I've read a little about the Loganville area, but there isn't too much, so forgive this posting. I would like to know some general information regarding the immediate area surrounding Loganville and the general western portion of Walton county. Is it a good family-oriented community...to raise kids and such? Looking for a semi-rural setting but with access to suburban creature comforts (home depot, restaurants, etc.) as well as the overall friendliness/warmth of the residents or sense of community. PS: would also like to know if anyone has had any experience with Crown builders? Thanks |

I have lived in Walton county for 6 years. We love it here. I have my youngest in his senior year of High School. He goes to Loganville High.We are close to Home Depot, Walmart, restaurants Applebees, Chili's and there is a Longhorn's in the process of being built. There is a new Bowling alley on 78 that seems to be busy constantly. We moved here to have more property. The houses are not on top of each other. Our neighborhood is quiet. Many stay at home moms. You can be as involved as you wish. There are mom's clubs if you have little ones. If I can help further, pm me! Good luck!

thanks rasmom,
i guess there aren't too many folks from your neck of the woods on here. either that or they are the ones who resent the sprawl entering their county and don't wish for any newcomers :0) like i said, i would like for the place that i live to be semi-rural, in other words, quiet and having some space between you and your next-door neighbor. the only reason i don't head up to pickens or gilmer county is that i'm a city person and the "real country", dark noisy woods at night, etc. scares the crap out of me! |

You would enjoy the semi-rural feel here. In our subdivision, each house has at least 1 1/2 acres. It is quiet here and when you leave the subdivision, right down the road, there are cows and donkeys! We are minutes away from everything. 15 minutes to Conyers, 30 minutes to Atlanta(that's without traffic). There is a Kroger shopping plaza being built on 78. Publix on 78 as well. Any other info you need, just let me know! By the way, schools are good, too!
