Blizzard? BLIZZARD?! LOL!

I bet our friends from the N/NE would chime-in on that one.

Quick! Everyone to the stores and Blockbuster! We might get socked in for weeks!

Just kidding, but I just couldn't help but respond to the blizzard term. You made my Saturday morning.

140 snowflakes hardly is a blizzard, even by Atlanta standards, but I'll agree the weather is weird this year. We've already had three weather days where tornado alerts were issued since February (one where there was major damage in some areas), and that's not that typical. Usually tornado season kicks into full swing here in or around April-June the heaviest. I've also noticed that where in years past a F0 was the most common with a F1 or RARE F2 might hit, that we've already logged a F3 before the season has begun, and a couple of F3 or even a F4 I think hit the metro area last season.

Likewise, having 70 degree days one day and snow "flurries" the next is weird, even for here, too.

Actually, peak tornado-season around here and most of the Southeast is March.

There is a mini-tornado season in November in the Southeast as well.

I had waaaay more than 140 snowflakes....more like 141.

Actually, it started...flurrying...pretty hard, too, around 8am and kept at it until about noon. Then it kind of stopped. Then it started again...but the sun was shining....

And tomorrow we should reach a high of close to 60....

Psychotic weather.

Yeah, blizzard would be a little bit of an overstatement. It is a bit interesting though to have 65 degrees with sirens going off because of tornados and then less than 12 hours later seeing flurries. Still, I'll take this over the real blizzards that I've been through, where you have to shovel your roof when it's over.

Well the saying "March comes in like a lion..." is definitely ringing true in Atlanta this year!

Actually our summers here are so long and hot I kinda enjoy the fact that we have this cold/mild season from late fall thru early spring. The 80, 90, and 100 degree days will be here soon enough and by September after those days have dragged on and on and on, I'm sure i'll think back nicely of this cool jacket wearing weather we're having now.

Atlanta's four (well kinda three and a half) seasons are just fine with me (except for tornados that is).
