Never having used uber I'd like to try it it out. I'm going from Marietta to the airport. Is there a certain pick up spot when I return?
Any tips?

For your domestic pick-up, the app requests which terminal you are located at (north or south) and then which door. Previous drivers have requested pick-up at the second curb (not passenger drop-off).

I live in Vinings and am flying to Seattle in a few weeks. My plan is to Uber from home to Midtown MARTA station, then ride MARTA to the airport, and do the same thing in reverse when I get back.

For me this makes the UberX fare about $14, plus $2.50 MARTA fare. Total round trip about $33. And no confusion about airport pickup. As opposed to probably about $27 to Uber all the way to the airport, or $54 round trip.

But for you, yeah, you're coming all the way from Marietta, might as well just take 285 straight down to the airport. Or however you want to play it.

Let your county know they need to have heavy rail so that you can take the train to the airport instead

That is a lot of work for $20 savings.

Definitely, do this.

And then check back in about 30 years to find they still haven't done it.

I looked into taking Marta but the station was far enough away to make the uber all the way just more logical.

You really think so? Ubering to MARTA then taking the train to the airport is "a lot of work" to you???

My "Plan" for when I lived in Alpharetta to/from the airport had several Data Points for my travel decision options.

How long will I be gone?
What time does the Flight leave?
What time does the Flight Get back in?
How much Stuff Do I have?
Is my son going with me or alone?

The Longer I will be gone moves me more towards taking Uber/Get Dropped off at NorthSpring (or Windward Park/Ride) Take Marta to airport. (Cost of parking @ offsite airport lots)

What time will I get back, Since Marta stop running ~1am If my flight is late will I be renting a car or taking Cab to Home? $'s vs Parking at airport (cost vs convenience risk) .

Do I have more then my carry on Suitcase, and briefcase, - Convenience of not moving 3 or 4 item from bus to train (Connecting @ Lindbergh station on way back) - Drive to airport or Uber

Time, Is my flight very early? Drive/Uber.

With my son, Added $5 Marta cost,

Get Home faster (Off Rush Hour) 45-60min airport door to my door vs 1:30 - 1:45 on Marta + Uber from North springs
