Cool. I know Middle Georgia College has a flight training program as well, but thats closer to Macon. It's just that the larger flight training centers sometimes hire you as an instructor to help build your hours, and then get interviews for you with different carriers. Comair who operates Delta Connection is currently on a pilot hiring spree. No college degree is required (though preferred), and they are asking for only 600 hrs total flight time/100 hrs multi.
Good luck to you! There is a remarkable shortage of airline pilots all over the world, so it is a wise career choice as well.
Just remember one important thing. IFR does NOT stand for I Follow Roads...

Default shameless plug for Peachtree City

many pilots and airline employees living in Peachtree City. It's a hike from PTC to PDK...but only about 30 minutes south of ATL airport if you'd be based there in future. Very good schools in Fayette county for your wife's future employment.

I think you're looking to rent. There are some good houses in PTC for $1000/1500 a month. I'm trying to sell mine now but if it doesn't....I'll be renting it out.

Check out my blog... has my house details.....but even if it's not for you I've got lots of content on my site regarding Peachtree City as a great place to settle in metro Atlanta

cheers

Jonas
