There are many apartments near Chastain. Off of Busbee, and Some nicer ones across from the Town Center Mall. A few years ago my son rented a one bedroom for $600 of of Busbee. I have no idea what apartments are going for now. I have see some signs -not sure where-that have move in specials. **** luck.

Try the Woodstock area (Exit 7). My commute to BofA from that area isn't bad. Straight shot from I-575 and on your way home you exit before all of the Towne Lake traffic...bah!! (Exit 8). You will find the less expensive apartments in the Kennesaw area though, good luck!

I forgot how much more expensive the apartments are in Kennesaw! You can find a very nice three bedroom apartment in Cartersville for $650. The most expensive apartment I've found in Cartersville was a two bedroom for 7 something and those apartments were top notch.

I personally would stay away from the Atlanta area if your working in Kennesaw. My girlfriend works there and we live in Cobb county here off of 41 near the Windy Hill exit and it's an easy commute to her job. There are plenty of apartments off Cobb parkway (highway 41) and plenty of existing homes for sale and some new developments also. We live in The Village Apartments (used to be called Post Village) and we have a 2 bedroom apartment around 1200 sqft for $800 a month. They are older but the community is great. (When I say older I dont mean run down but they do not have an alarm system of fire protection sprinklers like newer apartments do nowadays)

My husband and I live in Acworth and my husband works in Kennesaw (right around the airport). The part of Acworth that we live has great schools and a short drive to everything (grocery stores, parks, schools, drug stores, even hospital and critical care center). My husband gets to work in 20 mins...even on high traffic days, and he never even has to get onto the interstate. I agree with everyone who suggests that you stay away from Barrett Pkwy., it can truly be a traffic nightmare!

As far as your housing situation, have you looked into renting or lease/purchase on a home? There are SOOO many people around this area who are looking to rent their homes because they aren't able to sell right now.
