Reality is that a lot of people will probably be without power. That happens anytime there is a heavy rainstorm here. And these are even heavier winds which will knock down a few more trees. Plus, the utility repair crews are going to be pretty busy, so it may take a little longer than usual to restore service.

Irma is already throwing her weight around. I was driving earlier and she thought it a good idea to push me out of my lane more than once. Not cool! So if you're driving, please be careful.

Fulton schools are closed Monday and Tuesday also. We already lost power for a couple of hours today when a tree fell nearby ( North Fulton). We came here from FL, so we know the drill, but our gorgeous tree canopy will keep things interesting.

Just got a text saying the office will be closed tomorrow.

Funny, the owner and his wife are from Florida, go figure.

No one's laughing at y'all and I fail to see why anyone would laugh about any of this. Apparently "potential for 80mph wind gusts" doesn't mean anything.

Not sure what your talking about;especially since 3 people from Florida have already died because of the storm. I find that made the evacuating extremely worth it.

Have you ever had to evacuate?...I doubt it..and the 3 people that died ( i haven'tt heard anything) probably was doing something stupid like these people.
