spanish in peachtree, please help
Hi everybody! I'm so new on this.... I live in Spain (madrid), but Im going to Peachtree city for the summer, to spend there about two months.
I would like to work on something, I love kids and I've been thinking on the idea of giving spanish classes at peoples home. Do you think this is a crazy idea? or it could work? Im not thinking on a full day job, just something eventual. where could I find it?
Thank you very much for your attention. I love the forum ,I see american people is very organized!

I'd wonder how much Spanish one can pick up in two months. If I was going to enroll my kids in a Spanish class, I'd want to know that the instructor was going to be there for a while so the lessons could continue. Just a thought.

hi, thanks very much. IŽd like to make it as a summer activity. you're not gonna learn how to talk perfectly, but you can learn a lot of things. It can be really fun and productive.thanks for your thought.

I think this is a great idea. We live in an ever changing country and Spanish speakers are on the rise. You could probably market yourself towards middle school aged children who are just starting to learn the Spanish in school. I certainly could have used some extra help at that age! You could also post some ads on this site or something like Craigslist for a summer spanish tutor for both middle and high school.
Good luck!

I think that this is a really good idea. There is a large spanish speaking community in georgia so if you taught kids then they could learn the basics and then start communicating with spanish speaking kids at their school. By the time they're grown they will be able to speak two languages so that will open up a lot of opritunities.

yes. I think so too. And I think kids get the languages faster than adults, so It would be easier for them.and so funny.
The problem is I dont know where can I find someone interested.I live in Spain and I dont know where to make the annoucement.

We live in Atlanta and I have a middle schooler that is struggling with Spanish. The program at her school is not very strong and I'd love to hire a summer tutor to work with her. I'm sure that there are others that would be interested. If you're able to make a go of your plan, please let me know.
