What people fail to realize is that big transit plans always happen before State election. Once the election is over it always die down. Remember the MMPT transit before the last governor election. I wish they would just shut up and do something. Furthermore, we definitely don't need anymore regional studies.

It's the endless political lip service we get in this region when it comes to Transit. All talk, no action

Tip for you. When you hear the word study in Metro Atlanta that means they probably do not really want to have whatever they are studying

Those of you complaining about the endless amount of studies, planning, and public involvement for major projects can thank this guy:

Ah, yes, Robert Moses...

Quote:
Moses was heavily criticized in Robert Caro's 1974 award-winning biography The Power Broker. The book highlighted his practice of starting large projects well beyond funding approved by the New York State legislature, with the knowledge they would eventually have to pay for the rest to avoid looking like they had failed to review the project properly (this is a tactic known as fait accompli).

You are just looking at it from the wrong perspective. He makes total sense if the purpose of the committee is to make sure no state money is "wasted" on transit.
