Madison, GA; Amanda Willson Austin
I am an archivist, formerly of the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies in Little Rock, AR. For several years I have been collecting information on the life and family of Amanda Willson Austin for a book which I am writing. While working at the Old State House Museum in Little Rock, I became interested in this work after reading an extremely moving letter written by Amanda after her fiance was killed in the Civil War battle at Franklin, TN. I would greatly appreciate any information concerning Amanda's life, her comtemporaries, and descendants.
