Ah yes, nothing like drastically increasing the capacity of an entire heavy rail corridor to really leave people hurting. Certainly the only people that that would benefit would be those who live near Bankhead, and none of the other people who live / work / shop / play between Bankhead and Avondale.

currently you can only run a 2-car train on the green line because there's one station that's a little too small. if they fix that station, they can run 6 car trains and almost double the capacity along the line. bankhead seems like the station to fix, if expanding the platform is part of the plan. there aren't any other stations that bottleneck the system to the degree that the bankhead station does.

Exactly, which is why it isn't so crazy to look at Bankhead as a perfectly viable candidate to receive 'enhancement' funds, even compared to older stations.
