Default Live in DeKalb but want to attend Fulton Cnty/ City Of Atlanta school
I currently live in DeKalb County (Briar Vista) but I am closer to the Morningside school district. They are expected to open the VAHI Elem. School in 2009 which is less than a .5 mile from my house. The school my son would attend is a Montasorri school so, I believe, I have the option to opt out of him attending. Where do I go to find out my options, if I have any, to get him into the new school when he is ready? Thanks in advance!

It doesn't work that way. Your child will be eligible to attend other DCSS schools, not City of Atlanta.

You can call the city of Atlanta school system and ask if they take tuition students.

If your tax money goes into the school district, yes you are in; otherwise you are not eligible to go to the school in that district, IMO.
