Show me proof that Bottoms was behind that, and I needs to be concrete as hell because Norwoods gaffes came from her very own mouth.

I'm not going to deny that there are a sizable portion of blacks who do vote for a candidate because they are black, but some white people love to believe they don't have a sector that doesn't do the same. Based on pre-election polling, if you looked at the cross tabs, Whites and blacks were voting intra-racially at roughly the same rates. That's why what Ronricks is saying is silly. It's not like KLB crushed Norwood. It was within a percentage point. His problem is that he is assuming Norwood is FAR more qualified than KLB and for that reason, blacks should have supported Norwood more. What if maybe, none of the women are not that much more qualified than the other?

I wonder what the people who endorsed each candidate are saying this morning

Ronrick's hypocrisy is astounding. The reason he has such a vested interest in Norwood winning in the first place is because she's white, but "blacks only vote based on race". This is the disassociation from reality and cognitive dissonance that so much of this country suffers from today and why Trump is in office.

This is a pretty stupid conversation considering that white people have been the only people on the ballot for the vast majority of this history of this country, and as a result, black citizens have been voting for them for well over a hundred years. Black people don't need to prove to anyone that they're willing to vote for white people. It's a basic, common sense, indisputable fact that they have been voting for white people since the minute they were granted the right to vote.

Both candidates are pretty badly qualified. Ive said for years the state’s or the US government should set requirements for all political positions. Stories such as the guy in VA who won whose wife was murdered are feel good stories for sure but these people aren’t qualified to be senators/reps etc

Exactly. None of the candidates were good so if that's the case, most likely you trend towards those who are more like you or who haved lived in the same area as you.

Didn't vote for Norwood in either election but try again. There is a clear sample size from Atlanta politics that shows what I am saying is right. For some reason it is being twisted into "donald trump" which again has nothing to do with a non-partisan election in Atlanta. The mere fact Trump was even brought up is code speak and pandering.

How are they badly qualified? LB was a lawyer for 20 years and served on Atlanta City Council—which Norwood also served multiple terms—they both should have a good idea how the city works, and how to get things done. If you don’t like them, then you don’t like them—but that doesn’t mean they are “badly qualified”.
