Does anyone know for sure if banks are open on Friday or not? I need to get a cashier's check for a closing but am out of town until Thursday night. I called Suntrust, but the lady on the other end did not seem overly sure if they were open or not (although she said they were). I need to contingency plan if they are closed. It's NOT a federal holiday, but it IS Georgia and who knows.

Doesn't "banker's hours" just mean working from 9-4, so if someone were to leave work early you would say "What - are you working banker's hours or something?" In fact, that's the reason why I assumed they would actually be closed!

yes but you said Friday, no time, just a day. They are open on Good Friday...just close after 4 like you mentioned.

Banks are regulated by the Federal Gov't so they do no honor religious holidays such as good friday.
