I need a cargo van for a few weeks and don't want to spend an arm and a leg on it.

I don't care what it looks like -- I just need to haul some stuff. Something like an Econoline or a Chevy Express.

Any suggestions on a good place to rent one?

I was going to recommended Home Depot but you want it for a few weeks.

Check one of the off site rentals...Budget, Dollar or Avis.

Thanks, PK. I may check some of the smaller rental agencies -- I have a feeling the big guys are going to have nice, late model vehicles that are pretty expensive.

I halfway thought about buying an older van, just to tinker with and have it around in case somebody needs one. You can usually get your money out of a work vehicle, based on its utility alone. However, that may raise further charges against me of operating a junkyard at our place.

Just a thought...

I needed a pick up truck for about 2 weeks for a remodel I was doing on my own house. I posted the need on facebook and mentioned I would pay, and a neighbor's brother "rented" me an old beat up pick up for $100. I think he would have just let me borrow it for a 6 pack. Anyway, it might be worth a try.

Enterprise rents them for a low price. They have low weekly rates with unlimited miles. https://www.enterprisetrucks.com/truckrental/en_US.html
