Is anyone familiar with the neighborhood just south of Peoplestown and north of Lakewood Heights, called South Atlanta? Any ideas about what it's like now and its future, e.g. likelihood of being developed in the next 2-3 years, crime, sense of community?

I would assume with all the development in Summerhill home values will be rising, but not sure if it's too far from the main areas of development along Georgia Ave. to get those benefits any time soon.

It isn't crazy with crime at the moment, but it's not a place I would buy in just yet. The area around Historic South Atlanta is improving but there's still a lot of vacant property and it hasn't seen the boost that the neighborhoods SW of Atlanta have seen.
