Default schools

I'm looking for a elementary teaching position. A retired Atlanta principal and a few teacher friends there suggested these-

Mary Lin
Fernbank
Morningside
Paidea
The Children's School
The Waldorf School

any thoughts?

The first three are public schools in the two highest paying counties - and all are very good schools. My son goes to Mary Lin.

The last three are private.

I don't know if this is true in the case of these three schools but it's not that uncommon that teacher salaries are lower in private schools than in public. However, Paidiea has a VERY wealthy parent base (such as Arthur Blank) so this might not apply to Paidiea (or the others). I do know that Paideia is a good school.

I know Morningside has filled all its' positions for next year. DeKalb is real tight on money -- so not sure if Fernbank will have openings.

Morningside hired city of Atl teachers so that probably generated openings in other schools.
