Default Atlanta Rental Homes

My wife and I are moving to Atlanta this summer. We plan to rent a home for a year before we decide to buy a home. Is their one central location to find rental home listings? We plan to live in South Fulton.

I would check craigslist classifieds: jobs, housing, personals, for sale, services, community, events, forums and Atlanta News, Sports, Atlanta Weather, Business News | ajc.com (the Atlanta Journal/Constitution is the local newspaper).

Good luck and welcome!

Craigslist can be a good tool, just be careful - my friends rented a home through a company that was advertising on the site. They lived there 6 months only to find out that the home was going into foreclosure, the owner hadn't paid the mortgage since they lived there, and they had to move out since the home was going to auction in two weeks. Try to use a realtor or a large property management company since they tend to recheck the Landlords credit on a continual basis to look out for that type of situation.

If you're considering a move to the Douglasville area, I would check out http://residentialrentalsonline.com for single-family home rental listings. It also provides quick links to local entertainment, schools, etc.
