Default Anyone have a home built by Atreus Homes

They seem to offer a good warranty - see below, but does anyone live in a home and how has it been??? They have a new community called Cameron Springs in Powder Springs - any info??

Atreus Homes & Communities, formerly HomeLife Communities, will continue to offer its customers one of the most outstanding new home warranty programs in the country. The 2-10 Home Buyer Warranty provides homebuyers with a special warranty guarantee on their new home. The program features a special 2 month/10 month review of a buyer’s new home, along with an assurance of a two year warranty on mechanical and electrical systems and 10 year warranty on structural items. The warranty is provided through Atreus Homes’ trade partner, 2-10 Homebuyers Warranty Corporation (2-10 HWC). Providing coverage for more than 27 years, 2-10 HWC has warranted more than 3 million homes across the US. Homebuilders must apply for membership and agree to comply with the strict membership terms set forth by 2-10 HWC.
“We are very proud of our generous warranty program”, said Chris Ertel, Warranty Manager. “It’s our goal to make sure that our homebuyers have the best experience possible”.
In fact, Atreus has been recognized nationally with a Platinum Award from 2-10 HWC for its exceptional customer service.
“To be awarded for the way we care for our homebuyers is a huge honor, said Ertel. “The builders that 2-10 HWC represents are the best in the business. That makes this recognition even more exciting.”
In addition to the generous warranty program, Atreus Homes is one of the only new home builders in the nation to offer a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee Buy Back program. Under the agreement, Atreus Homes agrees that as long as certain conditions have been met, the company will re-purchase from the owner any home if warranty items cannot be satisfied.

If you do a search on this forum you will get an idea of other peoples experiences -the good, the bad and the ugly.

We decided against this builder (and building altogether), don't need the hustle.

At the end of the day get a good home inspector from the start of your build.

Good luck!!!

The 2-10 warranty is pretty much standard practice now for all the major home builders.
It's called competition.
So, with that in mind- what do they offer that no one else does? A "satisfaction guarantee buy-back"? It's those "certain conditions" that will have you spinning your head and contorting your wallet.
There are plenty of more reputible builders in the metro area- do a lot of homework, and be ready to deal (whether its standing inventory, or contract to build).
When you decide- hire a private inspector.

I've dealt with this builder on a couple of occasions when my buyer clients purchased from them. From my experience, you get a lot of house for the money. Nevertheless, like with any builder, you have to stay on top of them. Connect yourself with some good professionals to point you in the right direction.

I bought in their Riverbrooke community almost two years ago and have nothing but good things to say about them. I agree that a home inspector is a good idea.
