Best Atlanta Restaurants??
I just moved here and I am planning on Eating my way through Atlanta. Any restaurant suggestions. So far I have tried Pappadaux, 2 Urban Licks, Geisha House, and Sage. I am interested in restaurants $20 a plate or less. Any more suggestions??

Any particular cuisine? Have you been to The Flying Biscuit yet? It serves vegetarian gourmet but it's not a vegetarian only place - they serve eggs and other animal-base proteins, too.

I like all types of food from Sushi, to Thai, to Soulfood, to French to simple american diners.

If you like Thai food, Nan down on 17th and Spring Street is excellent. Some of the plates are over $20, but it's well worth it.

OK, well I live near Little 5 Points and I recommend:
1. The Vortex (burgers)
2. Fox Bros BBQ (pork, chicken, and beef)
3. The Flying Biscuit (breakfast, lunch, dinner - gourmet American)
4. Fellini's (more for the outdoor seating and atmosphere though the pizza is good)
5. Mediterranian Cafe
6. Agave (in Cabbagetown)

There are so many good restaurants here that it's hard to even start a list. When I moved here, we bought a cityguide that focused on food, and we've been working our way through it over the last seven years!
A few quick recommendations:
Shaun's in Inman Park
Mitra (Latin, on Juniper)
Loca Luna (tapas, also on Juniper)
Beleza (Brazilian, would be a splurge, but YUM)
Thai Me Up in Decatur
Tamarind Seed (midtown, new incarnation of Tamarind, one of the city's best Thai restaurants)
Fritti (Inman Park) or Osteria 832 (VaHi) for thin-crust individual pizzas
Wahoo! in Decatur for brunch, a great patio
The Chocolate Bar in Decatur for dessert/drinks/chocolate
Pura Vida (tapas, on Highland near Freedom Park)
Mezcalito's in Oakhurst has the best margaritas I've found
Okay, officially hungry now...

Bluepointe at Lenox is very good, but pricey as well. Worth it!

Welcome and happy eating!!!
Shaun's: Inman Park, go early - tables seem to get backed up later in the evening. www.shaunsrestaurant.com
One Midtown Kitchen: You have been to Two Urban Licks - give this one a try - it is the same group. Two is a beautiful restaurant but I like the food at One better. Trois was very good too - but more expensive. Concentrics Restaurants
Fox Brother's BBQ: Awesome bbq and sides! Inexpensive too! www.foxbrosbbq.com
Agave for southwestern: www.agaverestaurant.com
Thumb's Up Diner for breakfast: www.thumbsupdiner.com
Pung Mie for chinese/korean. You must try the dumplings and orange beef!
5145 Buford Hwy NE
Doraville, GA 30340
(770) 455-0435
Han Il Kwan for Korean BBQ
5458 Buford Highway
Doraville, GA 30340 (770) 457-3217
Waverly Hotel for Sunday brunch. More expensive than $20 a head - but hey - just eat once that day and you will have actually saved money.
2450 Galleria Pkwy SE
Atlanta, GA 30339
(770) 953-4500
Loco Lino for Italian. The most bizarre dining experience that you will ever have - in a good way. IL Localino
Fritti for real Italian wood fired pizzas: U Restaurants, Fritti, SottoSotto, Beleza, Cuerno
Nuevo Laredo Cantina for Mexican/Tex Mex. You have to go seriously early. Folks tailgate there for dinner. www.nuevolaredocantina.com
Mt. Fuji Japanese Restaurant - it's in Marietta. Go to the to the intimate sushi bar - not the teppaniki grill. And don't go on the weekends - it get crazy there!
180 Cobb Pkwy S
Marietta, GA 30060 (770) 428-0955
