Pre-k in Sandy Spring and Buckhead
Hello I am going to send my son to Pre-k this Septembre and am wondering if anyone have suggestions about which school to select.
Currently my son is with Creme de la Creme but with my another child going to daycare soon i think it is a good idea to let my son start public pre-k soon, instead of staying at the expensive place.
The problem is that I send him to Sunshine House temporarily last year and he, after staying with Creme de la creme, did not like the new place at all.
The place i am going to register him will be another sunshine house on West Wieuca Rd. Anyone knows if this one is good?
Any other suggestions? Northside Hospital Childcare, High Point Elementary, Sandy spring Academy all have pre-k program but i have no idea how good are they.
You opinion will be very appreciate.
We are also thinking of buying a House this summer. We both work in buckhead so any suggestions where is a good location considering the commute and school?

Northside's center is suppose to be very good.
It is very competitive to get into public pre-k. Have you starting inquiring about available spaces?

Have you looked at Galloway? My kids went there from Pk3 onwards... It's fantastic....we have been VERY happy there..we entered just for preschool and ended up staying for primary. Another option: Holy Spirit in Sandy Springs, St. James Methodist Church (just south of Sandy Springs in Buckhead--about a mile north off peacthree), Oglethorpe, and Peachtree Presbyterian....

She has already missed the deadlines for application at Galloway and the churches. Unless someone moves and a spot opens up, she probably won't have any luck. It sounds as though she was looking for full-time daycare anyway.

You might want to check Apostles Lutheran Church on Hammond Drive. They have state funded pre-K though I don't know much about it.

I hope this is in keeping with this thread, even though this isn't a response..I We are relocating to Atlanta this summer and I am having trouble finding a non-religious, play-centred/developmental learning preschool for my four year old daughter. We will probably live in Buckhead. Our son will most likely go to the International School. Does anyone have any tips for a preschool that fits my description? Thank you.
