We haven't won a home game in almost a month. Come on Braves, let us enjoy victory with you!

Having been to SunTrust Park recently the transit from midtown Atlanta was the only minor negative. Taking a bus from the Arts MARTA station to the stadium wasnít bad. I left early so it worked out pretty well. Getting thru security at the park seemed a slow go, so beating the rush helped. Great ballpark, very well done, team is fun to watch. Getting home I learned the hard truth about Marta and Cobb Link, different cards for different bus systems. The bus driver for Cobb Link let me ride back to Arts Station when my Marta unlimited card was rejected, he could see I had no clue. At the Cumberland Mall transfer I didnít see any info or chance to buy a card for Marta. Overall a great experience...

Braves are averaging 31,817 home game attendance so far this year:

2018 MLB Attendance - Major League Baseball - ESPN

Which is good for 11th place out of 30 teams. Ahead of the Nationals and Mets, and within striking distance of the Red Sox (who are playing great.)

And anyway, as a Cobb taxpayer who only moved here 2 years ago, there's nothing I or anyone can do about the backroom deal that was made by now-ousted Tim Lee. Whether the deal was good or not for us, remains to be seen, and we won't know definiteively until a long time from now.

But since there's nothing I can do about it either way, I'm at least going to cheer it on and enjoy the thing while I have it in my area. And have a good and hopeful attitude about it. And I do genuinely really like it. I'm quite glad it's there. I'm glad the Braves are here.

My home value has gone up a lot in 2 years since I bought it. I'm 2 miles from the Battery. So I may have even profited already from the deal.

TBH the new ballpark is not too bad. I wouldn't say top-5, though; nobody's knocking off Fenway, Wrigley Field, San Fran, Pittsburgh, and perhaps St. Louis any time soon.

One drawback has been the lack of a rain canopy. The Braves had to delay several games last year (remember the one that went until like 2 AM?) and already two games have been washed out. Not to be a wet blanket but when the Braves move out in 2050, they'll probably figure out that hey, it rains a lot in Georgia in the summer time! Assuming the climate hasn't been wrecked by then.

Record attendance tonight! 42k I think I heard.

And we won, and are 2.5 games ahead of the Nationals.

Haters still won't care, but as a property owner in the immediate area, I sure do!

41,916 was the official attendance tonight:

That's more than capacity, which is 41,084.

That's part of it, but the Braves have consistently drawn close to 30k fans a game regardless of their record. Let's look back at the last ten years of their records, followed by their average home attendance, keeping in mind that the 2017 season was their first in STP:

2018: 42-29, 31,644 (to date)
2017: 72-90, 30,929
--------------------
2016: 68-93, 24,949
2015: 67-95, 25,017
2014: 79-83, 29,065
2013: 96-66, 31,465
2012: 94-68, 29,878
2011: 89-73, 30,037
2010: 91-71, 30,989
2009: 86-76, 29,304
