This guy is sharp, and gives Atlanta mad props. This Bloomberg business sit down interview is a must watch. I hope he was part of the Amazon HQ2 Georgia delegation.

What a lot of good publicity and powerful influencers from Atlanta. This is good nationally attention.

"City of Atlanta business leaders will get the Bloomberg treatment on Monday.
Bloomberg TV will broadcast live from Atlanta on Monday, April 9, as part of a series broadcasts built around U.S. cities that are home to major corporations, according to a release from the Metro Atlanta Chamber. The day of live programming is expected to feature nearly a dozen metro Atlanta’s business leaders on two of the network’s programs: "Daybreak" and "Balance of Power."

The Chamber named the following executives expected to be on the Bloomberg programs:
  • Craig Menear, CEO of The Home Depot (NYSE: HD)
  • Keith Lerner, Chief Market Strategist with SunTrust Banks Inc. (NYSE: STI)
  • Mary Laschinger, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Veritiv Corp. (NYSE: VRTV)
  • Frank Patterson, president of Pinewood Atlanta Studios
  • Jeffrey C. Sprecher, founder, chairman and CEO of Intercontinental Exchange Inc. (NYSE: ICE) and chairman of the New York Stock Exchange
  • Jeff Arnold, chairman and CEO of Sharecare

I sure hope they have better things to say about Atlanta than the typical fare which sounds something like....

* world class talent because of Georgia Tech
* cheaper cost of living than Silicon Valley
* culture of sharing and working together

Pretty much stuff that EVERY city trying to build a tech hub outside of Silicon Valley can claim.

Every city doesn't have a Georgia Tech though. With a more robust tech sector, Atlanta can keep more of those grads around for a couple of years at the least.
