Thank you ALL for your thoughts and suggestions. I have had several showings this week. The feedback was all positive. The ONE negative feedback I got was that my windows were dirty! Yikes, I can not believe it really comes down to dirty windows.
I will take down the last few family photos, as suggested, but then do I have to cover the bare walls. I think covering the walls with art work that is MY test might repel some buyers.
I thought the statue was supposed to St. Christopher... I'll have to look that up.
Thanks again.

LOL about the statue. Saw that story on CNN and it's right up there with a piece of toast looking like Mary in ridiculousness.
Lizzy, I live intown right now and Suwanee is a possible place I'd want to live in the future. We've looked around that area a lot over the last few years. A lot of this really does come down to taste. The inside of your home really is attractive, but it probably wouldn't be the exact type of home I'd want. I like those newer Craftsman-style places.
In your price range I'd probably purchase a new home on the other side of 85. Again, that's only a personal preference. You've had a bunch of people checking out your house so there is obviously some interest.
Good luck to you.

well, thanks for letting me know. I will do a bit search of comparative properties in your area. When does your contract with your listing agent expire? If possible, can I have your email address or phone number?

Yeah Lizzy, I heard that dirtyness is a big no-no. I've been cleaning like crazy for over a month. I even cleaned out my window casements with a Q-Tip. Took down all the storm windows and scrubbed like mad. Yep, cleanliness is big.

When we prepare to move in the future I'm dreading this! We keep our home clean, but as far as the nitty gritty in window casings, well not so much. It'll be a long process doing this.

Atlantamoi,
My house is spotless! That is why I was annoyed that the feedback was negative and so petty that the windows are dirty. My exterior was just painted by professionals who pressure washed the windows about 6 weeks ago. So, I think it is rediculous that some realtors and buyers could be so nitt picky about such a small detail. Does the house have enough square footage? Is it in the location that you like? Do you like the layout of the house? Is it updated and upgraded? Is it well maintaned? These are the questions one needs to ask themselves. Not, are the windows clean! When I house shop I keep in mind the major details of the house and whether or not I LOVE the house.

I feel for you. Houses aren't selling all over. There is a lot of product out there. News reports are telling people that it's going to get worse. People are looking but not buying.
School not being out yet might also be a factor. We are deciding whether to put our 4/2.5 plus basement house in Alpharetta to rent, rent to lease or sell. It's a hard decision to know what's right to do in this market. In addition to the MLS is your house on Craigslist and Zillow?
