Throw those in the garbage, too. Nothing should be littering sidewalks.

These pieces are bad ideas. Not really enforceable and add huge costs to these services:

Quote:
(g) No more than ten (10) shareable dockless mobility devices may be parked per block citywide, among all operators, and no more than 200 shareable dockless mobility devices may be parked per square mile citywide, among all Operators.
Quote:
(a) All Operators shall have a staffed operations center in the City of Atlanta and shall hire one staff member for every I 00 shareable dockless mobility devices in their fleet.
Quote:
(d) All Operators shall have no more than 600 and no less than I 00 shareable dockless mobility devices in their fleet.

I finally got to try one of these things out yesterday - it was fun.

I see these more as a recreational activity rather than practical, since you have to hunt these things down, and you can't count on one being where it'd be nice to have it, like the marta stations. Maybe they could switch to a docked system at all the marta stations at least and rebate $1 to anyone who returns a scooter to a dock or whatever. Also, these things struggle on not-so-steep hills - they could use a bit more power for heavier folks like me (>200 lbs).

It's still better sweating like a pig on a shared bike though...lol. I'll save that test for a cooler day.

That's how everyone sees them. People use them for joyrides, and not to get places. And that's one of the main reasons why they're garbage.

I use them to get places. Most people use them to get places.

Being against bikes or e-scooters because people also use them for fun is like banning cars because you are concerned about people that use them for joy-riding.

Who said anything about bikes?

If you're going to argue, at least argue in good faith.
