I live here in Marietta. My current car has a cream colored interior.
I'm looking at buying another car and wanted to get feedback on how people felt about black interiors.
Is black unbearably hot?

My interior is black, and it's not too hot. My car sleeps in the garage at home but is parked in the direct sunlight during the day at work. My AC works pretty well, and the car is usually comfortable within 5 minutes or less on all but the hottest days. The seats are never so hot as to burn my legs or anything like that.

I will say that the black interior is surprisingly easy to keep clean and has worn extremely well. It's 7 years old and basically looks like new.

I was actually thinking about going with a lighter interior for my next car, but currently the one I plan to buy is offered only with a black interior. I won't be buying for at least a year, though, so who knows if they'll change the offering between now and then.

I think dark is ok if it's cloth. I have a silver truck with a dark cloth interior and other light cars with dark leather feel hotter than mine, and dark vehicles feel the hottest.

I recently bought a new car. My first request to the salesman was “dark interior.” My old one had beige / light interior and always looked filthy beyond belief no matter how hard I tried to keep it clean.

I only buy cars with black interior.

I don't think it's any hotter. And if it is....so what? Light interior is lame. Black looks so much better no matter what.

When it's 95 degrees in Georgia in August with high humidity, it is going to be hot in your car no matter what color it is. The color you need to look at is the blue arrow turned to the left on the AC control

lol, so true!
I've always been a black interior person except with tan on a a couple of Porsches and Ferrari I had. But the current Lexus I have is ecru which is a cream color. At first I wasn't fond of it but grew to like it. My favorite is Gray, but since I like silver exterior gray isn't often paired with it.

I have black leather interior and love it. What you will need is good a/c that can cool things down relatively quickly.
