Thanks, aries. I have looked at those schools, and it was hard to choose, but I think Cobb County suits our needs better. They are definitely closer to College Park though.

The smaller options are: Allatoona and Harrison.

I also recommend that you look in two districts that are in the "western" part of East Cobb. They have everything you desire, they are also smaller, and they are very close to West Cobb. These two schools are: Kell and Sprayberry.

So, my recommendations for you are:

Allatoona
Kell
Sprayberry
Harrison

I can give you more details later if you'd like. Also, the middle schools that feed into each of the high schools listed are excellent:

Allatoon feeder middle schools: Durham, McClure, Awtrey
Kell feeder middle schools: McCleskey, Palmer
Sprayberry feeder middle schools: Simpson, Daniell, McCleskey
Harrison feeder middle schools: Lost Mountain, McClure, Durham
To clarify for the OP, "smaller" is describing enrollment. Allatoona, Hillgrove and Kell are virtually the same floorplan with the same student capacity, but Allatoona and Kell are currently under capacity while Hillgrove is over capacity. You can get more information on enrollment here: http://www.cobbk12.org/centraloffice...t_20180417.pdf.

With the latest school population numbers, my recommendation for the OP:

Sprayberry
Allatoona
Kell
