Is there any way you can actually spend any time in the area, go to the grocery, restaurants, church, etc. in the area to assess for yourself?

Default I'm a black man who lives in Canton

I get treated with nothing but respect everywhere I go. If a person carries themselves in a trashy and negative manner then the same effects can be expected no matter where you live.

Honestly who cares what people have to say behind your back? No matter if you are doing good things or bad things folks will always have an opinion. Look at how so many Falcons fans turned their backs on Julio Jones over a simple article that was debunked today. Keep doing you and look out for you and your family and let the haters continue to hate.

Alpharetta itself is very diverse. There are lot's of Indians, African Americans and Asians in the region. That being said parts of Alpharetta that abut Cherokee county are pretty vanilla white, if I were you I would stay closer to down Alpharetta or Avalon.

Default Hi

I actually currently live in Cherokee County (Holly Springs/Canton area to be exact) for the last 5 years and am a black male. I can honestly say that for the most part, I have been completely and totally comfortable in my neighborhood, in the stores, in restaurants, basically in all the places make a life a life. Now, I know there are certain neighbors that would rather not have me in the neighborhood...but there are far more that have been accepting, cordial, friendly, etc. and who I have a fantastic relationship with.

And you believed the builder? Rule #1 of buying a new home: builders lie.

Gantt Rd & Stone Creek Trail is in Cherokee County. It may have an Alpharetta mailing address, but it is not within the city limits or even in the same county. This may or may not matter to you.
