I'm not saying it's a bad thing necessarily...

But I was shocked to see the other day to see the giant-curved shaped tower seems to barely fit on the site by Collier Road at Peachtree....

and one corner of the tower is so close to Peachtree that you can almost touch it from your car.

I like being close to a street that's lively with people, but I don't think there's room for more than a 5' ft. sidewalk between the corner of the building and the street's active right lanes.

Could have fooled me, with the thread title, and the fact that you created the thread.

It is rather startling. I'll await completion before passing final judgment, however.

If you go on the current Google Maps aerial, it looks to measure out about 15-20 feet from the outer edge of the sidewalk.

Well, posters complain all the time on here about street level engagement. Guess we're getting it.

Well, Piedmont is just inside the Beltline so they should have good options for walking, biking and transit. They have decent bus service, although I'd like to see that kicked up a notch.

Wasn't there supposed to be a transit plaza right around there?

They must have some sort of turn-in where they can load and unload patients, though, right? I don't think street level engagement is really a thing for hospitals. Isn't it better for them to be a bit away from the hustle and bustle? If I'm recovering from surgery, how much do I care that I'm in the middle of it all?
