Default Work in Peachtree City ?

Hi everybody,

I'm currently living in Europe (Belgium), and will be graduated next year (Master in Industrial Psychology). I'll then pursue a 1 year Master in Management.

After my studies, I would like to relocate in Georgia, and more specifically in Peachtree City. However, I really don't want to work in Atlanta ! So, my question is : is it possible to find a great job (in a big company if possible) in Peachtree City or not too far from there without having to commute to Atlanta ?

Thanks in advance !

(sorry for my bad english... I'll improve it in fall, when I'll be in Clemson University for 5months!)

There are a number of companies in Peachtree City...so it is possible. It's rather expensive to live here, so you might want to look at either renting or living in Coweta county at first.

Thanks for your answer.

I effectively plan to rent a house in PTC at first. Anyway, live in Belgium is very expensive too (we've got a looot of tax, and gas price is over 9$/gallon!).

Can't wait to move

Are you young and single? If so, PTC might not be so much fun for you. It is very family oriented.

I'm 23, not married yet, but I've got a girlfriend for 6 years and I've been living with her for 2 years.

I'm looking for a safe, friendly and quiet place.

Yup, that pretty much sums up Peachtree City. Im renting there now as well, having a house built in Newnan....will be gone in about 6 months.

Default Consider also Newnan only 8 miles from Peachtree City

Check out this website SummerGrove - A Pathway Community This subdivision in Newnan was developed from the same Company "Pathway Communities" as Peachtree City. It's a more rural area, but growing extensively. Peachtree City is 10 miles away from I 85 , the only way to the airport and Atlanta. You have to use Hwy 74 which is a bumper to bumper drive with many traffic lights. Summergrove's location is 1.5 miles away from I -85, close to tons of shopping and a very relaxed atmosphere.

Stick with PTC. Summergrove is nice, but it is not PTC. Not even close. There are lots of larger companies in PTC, but I'm not that familar with your field so it is hard for me to say about job opportunities. HWY 74 is not bumper to bumper traffic except for the area where there is construction. If you live on the northern part of PTC you won't experience any of it, but when the construction is complete, there won't be any in the southern part of ptc either. Plus, if you get a job here, you can ride in your golf cart to work and save the almost $4 a gallon that you'd spend on gas. Peachtree City is a WONDERFUL place to live. I think you'll be happy with your choice!

Thanks for tour answer.

I'll be in the U.S from august 15 2008 to january 15 2009 (Clemson University, SC), so I'll have the opportunity to go to PTC and make my own opinion .

In fact, I'm attracted by two great places : PTC and Cary (NC). Choice will be hard !

I'll be in Atlanta in early November, to pick up my girlfriend at the airport.
I'd like to spend the night at PTC. Therefore, is there a great (and cheap...I'm a student!) place where we may spend the night ?

Thanks in advance,

Guillaume.
