We are looking to see if anybody has had any experience with new homes at Canterbury Georgian by Ryland in East Marietta (East Cobb) ?

How is the commute to Atlanta downtown from here? Is it important to send kids to private schools in this area or is the public school system good? Blackwell/Daniell/Sprayberry are the schools.
ANy good incentives that the builder is offering?

Blackwell/Daniell/Sprayberry...good schools.

1. Blackwell: long tradition of excellence, strong PTA, strong community, great academics.

2. Daniell: designated a 2008 Georgia School of Excellence! Dedicated teachers. Innovative programs. Heavy emphasis on strong academics.

3. Sprayberry: Long tradition of excellence. Well-known for its great academics, strong PTA, strong community spirit, excellent extracurriculars/sports.

*You'll be happy with the schools. Plus, the neighborhood (Canterbury) is unbeatable location...close to Town Center Mall, Kennesaw Mountain, Shaw Park, Noonday Park, and easy access to I-75 and I-575. The commute to downtown would be one of the best from East Cobb. Canterbury is also a plus for property values...a lot redevelopment and in-fill development is expected in the Canton Road corridor of East Cobb over the next 5-10 years.

Good Luck.

The commute to downtown during rush hour will be not be a treat. Regarding incentives, the best incentives will be gained through strong negotiations. Here’s a pretty good forum that addresses some of this.

We are thinking about buying in Canterbury. Did you end up buying a house there? If so, how do you like the neighborhood?
