The kids just started back three weeks ago and have another week-long break in less than three weeks. How about I get to stay home from work and the kid still goes to school!

I've experienced this feeling before and I'm telling you...you have to try it more often. You don't know peace and quiet until the kids are gone.

At least in the Alpharetta area I don't see 2" of snow happening. But of course the Fulton schools will all be closed tomorrow.

142 PM EST Mon Jan 28 2019

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 7 PM EST
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of up to one and
a half inches are expected, mainly along and north of line from
Carrollton to Marietta to Canton. Lesser amounts of snow are
likely right along the Interstate 85 corridor. In addition, any
moisture left on the roadways, especially in sheltered or
protected areas will likely refreeze, increasing the potential
for black ice development.

* WHERE...Much of north central Georgia, including the city of
Atlanta and suburbs.

* WHEN...From 3 AM to 7 PM EST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.

Oh, trust me...I know. I rarely ever get the house to myself. And when I do, it's like I've achieved nirvana.

According to the Weather Channel, we're just supposed to get rain and wet snow early tomorrow, and then temps aren't forecasted to drop below freezing until the evening after dry air moves in. The decision to shut down schools is downright embarrassing.
