So wait, y'all want underground utilities (which I know this project is not that, but would involve closures) and are going to complain when they have to shut down lanes to perform the work?

Not only should they work at night, they should work around the clock. If it's going to take 9 months to do the work (which seems ridiculous) working 9a-4p, it could get done in under 3 months if they work in shifts for 24 hours. Even faster if they work weekends, and since 9a-4p isn't even an 8 hour shift (though I understand they need time to prep and then clean-up each day).

Which since this great invention over a hundred years ago makes it NOT a safety issue. Illumination is illumination, whether it's by the sun or by electricity, it's the same effect. It's nothing but an excuse, and a really lame and transparent one at that.

Both I'd say, GDOT for not having a spine and telling GA Power to do it at night, or they'd hire someone else to do it, and GA Power for being that stupid that they won't use lights.
