Hello. Looking at an area in Marietta to live. Address area South Cobb. Below Austell Rd SW. Between Animal Cobb County Animal Control and Dobbins Air Reserve Base. Is that area neighborhood diverse? or mostly one race. I prefer a diverse neighborhood that is why I am asking. Anyone know about crime in that area? Thank you.

It depends on what one's exact definition of diverse might be.

The area that you are inquiring about is roughly about 65-70% Hispanic/Latino and about 25% Black, with a relative handful of whites and Asians mixed in.

By no means is crime excessive in that area, but crime is not exactly non-existent in that area, either.

Not necessarily much violent crime in the area. Largely property crime like home and automobile break-ins, some automobile thefts, etc.

If you take normal precautions like locking the doors to your home and automobile at all times (both when you are and are not in them), and put an anti-theft alarm on your vehicle and an a security/burglary alarm on your home, you should generally be okay and not have any real problems.

Yes, I can't really add to B2R's already great answer, only to say that I second what he said. There are areas there that can look a bit run down, with some older motels and lower income apartments, but I don't know that I'd call it a "bad" area per se. It's a great location for getting into the city via 75 quickly.
