Probably a disaster for the remainder of the CoA.

That would be a bridge too far though. Combine that with this airport take over nonsense, the State would be wrapped up in lawsuits so long that they'll be in litigation until the State flips politically.

I'm not saying it's likely, but I can see it. Better services and a lower tax burden will get people to listen.

It should not happen. It's not going to happen. It's not feasible or practical for it to happen. It ain't happening. Please stop calling it Buckhead in this sense, it's the City of Atlanta.

I have to agree. How could one city come up to another city and say, "We're gong to carve out part of you and make it part of us"?

Once that starts cities will be cannibalizing each other like crazy.

That's the problem with this. Once it starts the wealthy neighborhoods and their taxes will group together and leave the poorer neighborhoods to starve. If someone doesn't like what the City of Atlanta offers the residents of Buckhead then they shouldn't live in Buckhead.

Or, they could live up there and just lobby the city to quit giving them the stiff arm. I don't see that happening overnight but eventually a squeaky wheel will get at least some attention.

Seems to me I did a fair job of summarizing the link, which is entitled "Sandy Springs annexing Buckhead? Residents chatter, officials shrug." I also included the link and its title.

What'd I say that was misleading?
