There was a house on Moores Mill Rd in Buckhead that was used as an AirBnB party house for months and it was hugely disruptive so I get the problem, just don't want some new law to take out people quietly having fun. With the party house in our neighborhood many other laws already on the books were being broken, including drugs, underage drinking, selling alcohol without a license, firing a gun in city limits, etc.
Good point. Seems to me a big part of the objection to these parties is late hours, the noise, rowdyism and disruption.

We have some good friends who often do house concerts but they are generally done by 10 pm or so. They are inside and usually involve music that is fairly tame and doesn't go beyond the house itself. They've also talked to their neighbors (a number of whom are regular attendees) and worked out any problems.

Just imagine if this happened to a place next to yours. Attitudes may shift then I reckon.
